Should there be a line drawn on how offensive comedians are with their content?
Are comedians taking it too far?

ABOUT
Comedy is a genre of fiction that refers to any discourse or work generally intended to be humorous or amusing by inducing laughter, especially in theatre, television, film, and stand-up comedy. Comedy is dated back to ancient Greece 6th century BCE. Comedy has seen huge growth and change from ancient Greece, to today's Comedy. There is a lot of controversy with comedy in today's world, more specifically with stand up comedy. Stand-up comedy is a comic style in which a comedian performs in front of a live audience, usually speaking directly to them. Stand up comedians have been under the microscope lately, with some of their controversial jokes, and if they were taken too far. One recent example is comedian Dave Chappelle’s Netflix special, “Sticks and Stones” about gun violence. The question to be asked is are comedians being too offensive with their jokes, and should there be a line drawn with how offensive they are. There are many arguments from both sides. Most comedians are arguing that they have the freedom of speech to joke about whatever they feel, and that them being called offensive, is just them telling the truth about society in their jokes. The other side of this argument is that there needs to be a line drawn on how offensive comedians are being, and they need to make sure they aren’t offending people.
